The mash-up can take a variety of forms from a simple music video blending original images with your favorite song to a full-out video mash combining the audio from one film with the visuals from another.

The mash-up needs to generate something NEW from two or more distinct source materials. The new twist can add a layer of social commentary, starkly humorous contrast, or tons of irony. The key is that you have something to say by spinning these sources together in a new way.

The mash-up needs to have good production values; the visuals and the audio should be integrated smoothly and logically.

The mash-up must attribute the original sources at the end of the video to give credit where credit is due.

The mash-up’s new meaning should be clear from the content in the final product. However, the author should also be able to articulate that new meaning to the class verbally as well.

You completed the requisite planning meeting with the teacher where you presented your brainstorm/story-boarding plan for your mash-up with sufficient time remaining to revise and complete your project.

There are no technical difficulties with the final movie (the audio is in balance and is audible, the images are not grainy or pixilated, and the time maximum of 5 minutes has been met).

The time allotted for the technical aspects of this piece was sufficient that the final product was ready to present ON TIME with all the required elements. There is evidence of native talent and/or drafting and genuine effort put into the final product.

ablation

Just wanted to give you’all a brief update: the ablation went well and all looks good.

However, my return will be delayed a bit (like Thursday or Friday), so enjoy the Hamlet and be sure to write down any questions you have for me over the parts you see without me!
